At Gumbo Yaya Photography, we love when a session feels like an adventure, and that’s exactly what we experienced during Amelia’s senior model rep shoot at Sunday Park. The weather kept us on our toes, shifting back and forth throughout the day, but Amelia’s good spirit and easygoing nature made the whole experience not just doable, but downright fun.
From the very start, Amelia brought a warmth and confidence that made every shot shine. We had the best time chatting as we wandered through the park, talking about her future plans with the military and her experiences living abroad with her family. It was such a joy to learn more about her story and the path she’s carving for herself.
Her mom was a huge help during the shoot, and together we embraced the unpredictable skies. Even when the rain decided to make an appearance, Amelia rolled with it effortlessly. We adjusted quickly and kept shooting, and the results couldn’t have been more beautiful.
One of my favorite details about Amelia’s shoot was her fun western style, her cowgirl boots stole the show! A staple in her life since she was little, they added the perfect personal touch and made the images uniquely hers. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Reservoir and the tall trees of Sunday Park, her portraits radiated authenticity, charm, and natural beauty.
Amelia is such a beautiful person, inside and out, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to capture this milestone for her. A little rain didn’t slow us down, and the session turned into something truly special.
✨ Thank you, Amelia, for letting me tell a piece of your story. I can’t wait to see all the incredible things your future holds! ✨
